Explore food forests and garden trails with cacao, bananas, and blooming vanilla orchids. Cross a brook powering the farm’s hydroelectric system, showcasing self-sufficiency. Stingless bees buzz near the community football field, integrated into the farm’s landscape.
Sustainable Farm
This farm raises pigs, cows, chickens, and tilapias in a way that prioritizes sustainability. Most of the feed is produced on-site, including nutrient-rich duckweed for the tilapias and recycled eggshells for the chickens. The animals graze naturally, reflecting a closed-loop system where nothing goes to waste.
Compost Cultivation
Soil health drives the farm’s success with rich compost and earthworm bins nurturing jalapeños, eggplants, fruit trees, and greens. An insect hotel and stingless bee colonies boost biodiversity, while water reservoirs support irrigation and guapote fish.
Farm-to-Table Experience
Experience the farm’s fresh flavors with kombucha and meals made from homegrown ingredients. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner (ask for details), featuring seasonal produce, farm-raised chicken, and creative dishes. If possible, end your tour with a shared meal alongside Fatima and the farm team.
This experience is best suited for those in regular physical condition, as guests must be able to mount and dismount a horse comfortably.
